The Stripe template is installed, but each plan stays disabled until its price, Clerk, signed webhooks, backend account sync, and the explicit web-billing release flag are ready. No placeholder price or entitlement is assumed.

Checkout never decides access.

Stripe handles the payment screen. ChatUp attaches the server-trusted Clerk user ID, verifies signed billing events, and waits for the mobile AI APIs backend to publish the resulting account state. Returning from checkout only starts that verification—it never flips a browser-side “Pro” flag.

Can I use an iPhone subscription on the web?＋

Once the mobile account-linking backend is deployed, the same verified entitlement can be read for the signed-in account. An unlinked purchase remains distinct from inactive access.

Does checkout activate Pro immediately?＋

No. ChatUp waits for a signed billing event and a backend subscription snapshot. A success URL alone cannot grant access.

Where can I cancel?＋

Web plans use Stripe’s customer portal. App Store plans are managed in Apple ID subscription settings. The account page sends you to the correct provider.
